Executive Committee, I. C. A. A.

On Saturday last a meeting of the executive committee of the Intercollegiate Athletic Association was held in New York. A great many details relating to the annual intercollegiate contest were discussed and some important matters were acted upon. George Crompton '95 is the Harvard member of the committee.

A challenge consisting chiefly of the resolutions adopted at the meeting of the Intercollegiate Athletic Association in New York February 23, was drawn up and sent to Oxford and Cambridge, in accordance with the vote of the association.

Mr. W. B Curtis, editor of the Spirit of the Times, was chosen to act as referee at this year's meeting. It was voted to give him, or a person appointed by him, complete charge of the events. Mr. Curtis will prepare a list of officials for the games, with alternates, which will be subject to the approval of the executive committee.

The regulation of all matters relating to the sale of tickets was put in the hands of F. B. Ellis of the University of Pennsylvania.

A rule was adopted prohibiting the presence on the inner field during the games, of all persons except the officials, the members of the executive committee, and the contestants at the proper time for their events.

It was voted that the payment of the price of admission should be required of all men entered for the games, it being provided that money should be refunded to each college in proportion to the number of men who actually took part in the contests.

The record of 24 ! seconds in the 220 yds. hurdles, made by J. L. Bremer, Jr., of Harvard in the dual league games at New Haven last year was allowed to stand as a collegiate record.
