The Administrative Board of Harvard College, knowing that the students' custom of using the city sidewalks as a running-track, and of running - whether on the sidewalk or in the street - in scanty clothing, is justly offensive to the citizens of Cambridge, expects all students to give up this custom, which has already been abandoned by all the athletic teams of the College and of the University.
