The principal adverse criticism on the Yale crew is concerning its great weight. Until a month ago the average was 180 pounds. This has been reduced to 176, but even this is six pounds heavier than a typical crew, and four pounds heavier than any Yale eight since 1891. Captain Armstrong states that there will probably be no change in the present makeup of the crew, which with the statistics of the men is as follows:
Position. Name. Age. Height. Wt.
Stroke, Langford, 19 6.1 170
7 Treadway, 21 6. 172
6 Longacre, 21 5.11 1/2 172
5 Dater, 22 6.2 187
4 Cross, 21 6.2 195
3 Beard, 19 5.9 175
2 Holcomb, 22 5.9 175
Bow, Armstrong (Cap) 22 5.8 1/2 160
Substitutes - P. H. Bailey, 178; T. W. Miller, 164; J. H. Simpson, 156.
