The tournament for the championship of the University will begin Monday, October 14. The winner in singles will be called upon to play G. L. Wrenn, Jr., for the championship.
Entries, $1.00 in singles and $2.00 a pair in doubles, may be made at Leavitt and Peirce's until 6 p. m. on Saturday, October 12. The prizes will consist of a first, a runner's up and a consolation prize in both singles and doubles. Tennis balls will be supplied by the association, but must be returned after using. Gold medals will be given as usual for the championship in singles and doubles. The tournament promises to be a very large one, as there is an unusually large number of good players in college this year, all of whom will probably enter.
All men who enter must state, with their names, at what time they can play.
