The first debate of the Forum took place last evening in Harvard 10. The question for debate was: "Resolved, That Sound Money Democrats should vote for McKinley." The speakers on the affirmative were W. H. Conroy '99 and G. Bancroft '99; on the negative, P. G. Carleton '99 and H. B. Huntington '97. After each speaker had addressed the meeting, Conroy and Carleton summed up the arguments for their respective sides. The debate was then thrown open to the house, and many of those present spoke.

The following men were elected to membership: K. Stone L. S., W. L. Leighton '99, M. Hyman '99 and G. H. Dorr '97. The regular meeting for next week Friday will be postponed, owing to the Republican parade, which comes on that evening.
