Dr. Sargent's class in light developing exercises will meet for the first time this year on Monday, October 5, at 5 o'clock p. m. in the Gymnasium. This class will be open to all members of the University, and all who intend to join are requested to be present at the first meeting.
The object of this class is to give to all those students who are not connected with any of the athletic teams of the University, and who desire to take regular exercise in company with others, an opportunity to develop themselves under systematic instruction. The exercises will consist of light gymnastics, drill with dumb bells, indian clubs, etc. Various light games will also be introduced.
The regular class work will begin at 5 o'clock and last for about half an hour every week day except Saturday. Mr. Dohs, the regular instructor, will also be present from 3.45 until 4.45 each day for the purpose of giving instruction in heavy gymnastics, such as work upon the parallel bars, flying rings, etc.
Applications for physical examination may be made by any student at any time, and they will be attended to as soon as possible.
