The 'Varsity practice yesterday was secret.
Wheeler was in the line-up for the first time and played a lively game and Shaw and Haughton also played. Doucette and Cabot were both out but did not play, while Dunlop was not on the field at all. Near the close of the practice Mills was quite seriously hurt and it is doubtful if he will be able to play against Pennsylvania. Brown was hurt a little but not at all seriously.
Waters and Newell were aided in coaching by Gray, Lewis, and Mr. Gardner of the Athletic Committee.
The line-up of the first eleven was as follows:
Lewis, l.e.; Swain, Wheeler, l.t.; Bouve, l.g.; F. Shaw, c.; N. Shaw, Sargent, r.g.; Haughton, r.t.; Moulton, r.e.; Beale, q.b.; Cozzens, r.h.b.; Brine, l.h.b.; Sullivan, l.h.b.; Wrightington, l.h.b.; Brown, Dibblee, f. b.
