The Harvard Union will hold its second competitive debate for membership for this year, next Friday, Dec. 4. The subject will be, "Resolved, That the Republican Party should not adopt as part of its programme during the Fifty-fifth Congress, any extension of the protective system."
The debate will be opened on the affirmative by Wirt Howe 1 L. S., and on the negative by J. P. Warren Gr., both 'Varsity debaters.
