The third round in the Newton indoor tennis tournament was played off yesterday, leaving E. Sheafe, E. R. Marvin '99, W. E. Putnam '96, and A. Codman '96 in the semi-finals. There was an improevment in the tennis and the matches were close. The following is a summary of the matches:

E. R. Marvin '99 beat C. Hunter 6-0, 6-3.

A. Codman '96 beat A. Ingraham '96 5-6, 6-4, 6-3.

W. E. Putnam '96 beat R. C. Thomas '96, 6-2, 6-4.

The matches for today are, Sheafe vs. Marvin, and Putman vs. Codman.
