The lacrosse squad has now been playing for about a week on Soldiers Field. The material this year is very good, the interest shown is lively, and under the coaching of several experienced Canadian players, together with that of Henshaw, of the Harvard team of '90, it is hoped that a team will be developed which will compare favorably with those of several years ago, when interest in lacrosse was more general than now. The schedule of games at present is:
April 25. Boston Lacrosse Team, on Soldiers Field.
May 1. Lehigh, at South Bethlehem, N. J.
May 2. Johns Hopkins, at Baltimore.
May 9. Princeton, on Soldiers Field.
May 15. Stevens Institute, at New York.
May 16. Crescent Athletic Club, at Brooklyn.
May 23. Cornell University, on Soldiers Field.
The Association is also trying to arrange a game with the Beachmont club.
The squad will continue daily practice during the spring recess, and at the end of next week the team to play against Boston will be chosen. This team, though subject to future changes, will continue as the first squad.
