Boylston Prize Speaking.

The competition for the Boylston Prizes for Elocution was held last night in Sanders Theatre before a moderate-sized audience. The speaking as a whole was fairly good, but the judges decided that only one of the twelve speakers, Harold E. Addison '96, deserved a first prize. Addison's selection was "The Soldiers' Field," by H. L. Higginson.

Three second prizes were awarded. The speakers who received them, with their selections were: R. W. Stimson '95, "A Plea for General Robert Smalls," by R. M. La Follette; W. S. Youngman '95, "The Minute Man of Seventy-Six," by G. W. Curtis; and L. T. Hildreth '96, "Galileo Galilei," by Edward Everett. R. W. Emmons '95 presided.
