Freshman Musical Clubs.

The Freshman Glee, Banjo and Mandolin clubs give their first concert in Union Hall, Brookline, tonight. All the clubs have been working hard in preparation for this and their other concerts, and it is expected that they will make a very creditable showing.

The Glee Club, as a whole, is very fair, in spite of the fact that there are very few first tenors. G. R. Osborne, the leader, has the best voice in the club and his solo tonight is sure to be well sung.

While the Banjo Club has been doing good work all winter, it is uncertain how they will do tonight, as their regular leader is on probation. C. M. Brown, one of the banjeaurines, will lead tonight and probably at the rest of the concerts.

The Mandolin Club is perhaps the best of the three. It has been kept hard at work, and its success is due in no small degree to its leader, G. Maniere. All the men have confidence in themselves and each other, and are sure to execute their pieces well.

The Freshman Musical Clubs give a concert and dance in Concord on Monday, May 24. Special rates of fifty cents for the round trip have been obtained and a train will leave Porter's Station, North Cambridge, at 6.13, returning after the dance. Concert and railway tickets can be obtained at Sanborn's by signing the blue book and paying one dollar.
