The second annual dinner of the Harvard Union, which was held at Young's Hotel, Boston, last night, was very successful. Enthusiastic speeches were made on the work of the past successful year and on the plans for the future. The speaking was of a high order and was perhaps as good an example of the standard of work done by the Union as could be given.
Fitz-Henry Smith, Jr., '96, acted as toastmaster. The toasts were as follows:
"The Harvard Union in the Past," Joseph Parker Warren.
"The Harvard Union in the Future," James Parker Hall.
"Our Annual Dinner," Charles Grilk.
"Debating at Harvard," Clyde Augustus Duniway.
Impromptu speeches were made by Chas. Dickinson '96, Wirt Howe '96, A. M. Sayre '98, H. E. Addison '96, H. L. Belisle '96, S. P. Delany '96, and Shirley Johnson '95.
