About sixty men turned out yesterday afternoon to practice for the class elevens. Both '99 and 1900 had enough candidates out to form two elevens but '98 had a few short of that number. All the squads went through light practice which was followed by a run around the field. As '99 had a full eleven of old players, acting-captain Johnston lined up his men and put them through a few signals. The men who came out that were on the '99 eleven of the past two years were: Brown, Stanwood, Lawton, Sampson, Catlin, Huntington, Nourse, Macomber, Spencer, Bigelow, Jackson, Baldwin.
Captain Rice and J. L. Knox '98, coached the '98 eleven. The old men who came out were: Curtis, Flint, Marvin, Thayer, C. Adams, Flershem, Emmons. Captain Talbot and Adsil coached the 1900 squad. As last year's Freshman eleven, with the exception of two or three men is with the 'Varsity, Captain Talbot will have hard work to make a good team out of such new material. L. B. Brown has been appointed manager of the 1900 eleven.
