The Athletic Association of the University of Pennsylvania has been soliciting subscriptions to build an athletic club-house on Franklin Field. Over one-half the $600,000 required having been subscribed, it is believed that the success of the project is assured.
It is proposed to make the clubhouse the center of all athletic interests. In the basement there will be a large and fully equipped gymnasium. the ground floor will contain a swimming pool and shower baths, a reading room, and billiard and pool tables. If sufficient money is subscribed the second floor will consist of a large assembly room for athletic meetings. On the third floor will be sleeping rooms for members of the teams. It is intended that the crew, the track, football and baseball teams make this their home while in training.
