125 Tremont St., Boston.RAILROAD ARRANGEMENT TO SPRINGFIELD. - There seems to be a misunderstanding as to how application for railroad tickets should be made; men should simply address a stamped envelope to themselves and enclose it together with $2 in a plain envelope, which should be left at Leavitt & Peirce's or sent to 22 Perkins Hall by Saturday evening, Nov. 3, the time having been extended to that date.
It is absolutely necessary that this be done, as a guarantee has to be given the railroad that at least five hundred tickets will be taken to secure the low rate of $2.
The arrangements have been made over the New York & New England R. R. The road makes the arrangements this year strictly for Harvard men, and no tickets will be sold to the public.
Although the New York and New England to Springfield is some twenty-five miles further than by the Boston & Albany, arrangements have been made to hold all local trains on the morning of the game and give special trains the right of way, thus making the time shorter than by the other road. No stops will be made between Boston and Springfield except for railway orders.
The feature of this year's arrangements, allowing men to go down to Springfield the afternoon before, on regular express at same rate as those the day of game, is an inducement which should be greatly appreciated.
