The annual intercollegiate relay race meeting under the auspices of the University of Pennsylvania will be held on Saturday, April 24. All the preliminary arrangements have been completed except the grouping of the colleges and preparatory schools. This will be done in a few days. There will be two races to determine the college championship of America, as last year. One will be a mile race, each man running a quarter of a mile; the other will be a four mile race, each man running a mile. Harvard has won the mile championship for the past two years. Although thirty colleges and twenty-eight preparatory schools took part in the games last year, the present indications are that there will be a still larger number of competing teams this year. More than sixty colleges and Universities will be invited and about as many preparatory and high schools.
Silk banners will be presented as trophies to the winning teams and watches and cups to the individuals. Special prizes will be given in the championship race.
There will be a championship race for all the preparatory schools of the United States and, if enough entries are received, a race for the high school championship will be held.
