Dormitory for Radcliffe.

A well-supported movement for the introduction of the dormitory system at Radcliffe is on foot among the alumnae. At a recent meeting of those interested in the subject, President Eliot, Miss Irwin, dean of the college, and others spoke heartily in favor of the movement. Mr. J. B. Warner, a member of the council of Radcliffe, also spoke. He mentioned that a desirable piece of land, suitable for the proposed building and of those that in course of time must follow it, as well as for the play-ground so much needed, could be acquired for about $100,000 and would be a most beneficent gift parallel to that of Soldiers Field to Harvard.

The hall which the alumnae propose giving will accommodate about twenty-five students. It is felt that Radcliffe has reached a point in her development when active measures must be taken for the personal welfare of the students.
