Phillip Howes Sears '44.

Phillip Howes Sears '44, a well-known Boston lawyer, died at his home at 85 Mt. Vernon street on Sunday. After graduating from Harvard in '44 he took his A. M., and in '49 was graduated from the Harvard Law School. He was a tutor in the College in 1848-49, and served on the Board of Overseers from 1859-65.
