Longwood Tennis Tournament.

The first four rounds of the Longwood Tennis Tournament were played yesterday morning and afternoon at the Cricket Club grounds. In the last round L. E. Ware '99 defeated M. D. Whitman '99 rather easily by the score of 6-4, 6-2. In the other matches McKittrick defeated Warland 4-6, 6-5, 6-2; Read defeated Bradley 6-2, 6-5; Pier '95 defeated Wright 6-2, 6-3. The other Harvard entries were defeated in the earlier rounds.

This afternoon at 2.30, Ware will play Pier, and McKittrick will play Read. The winners will play each other immediately after the first matches, and the winner of the tournament will play H. Ward 1900 at 4 o'clock for the championship of the State.
