Weld Crews Race.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The first and second graded crews from the Weld raced over the 1 7-8 miles course down stream yesterday afternoon. The first crew gave the second nearly four lengths start and at the finish had mad up a little over three lengths. Both crews rowed well. The chief difficulty in the first seems to be a lack of leg drive at the finish of the stroke and too slow body movement. In this last respect the second was better than the first; they got their weight on better, but their blade work was very ragged. The blade work of the first was good, except that at times the blades were high off the water at the catch.
