Silver baseballs will the be given to members of the 1903 baseball team which won the class championship last spring.
F. L. Carter, Jr., '03 won the B. A. A. handicap run Saturday afternoon, defeating the scratch man, F. M. Kanaly, C. G. A., by nearly 100 yards, although Kanaly broke the former record for the course by 35 seconds. Three other Harvard men were placed: Fourth, E. W. Mills '01; fifth, C. J. Swan '01; sixth, F. B. Taylor 2L.
Efforts are being made by the advisory committee on amateur sports at the Buffalo Pan-American Exposition, to secure college baseball and football games in late October in which both eastern and western colleges will compete. There will also be a Pan-American intercollegiate track meet, cross-country running, cycling, lacrosse, and gymnastic contests.
