The preparations being made by the Observatory staff to observe the total eclipse of the sun on May 28 are rapidly nearing completion. Mr. J.R. Edmands, who has been in the South selecting a post of observation for the Harvard party has reported in favor of Washington, Georgia, and the telescope to be used in the work has been sent there.
