At a meeting of the Weld Boat Club last evening it was announced that by a resolution of the governing board, the president of the club should hereafter, on account of the work required by his position, be a man in touch with rowing in general and with business capacity, but himself a non-rowing man. D.D. Evans accordingly resigned his position as president of the club and in his place C.H. Schweppe '02 was unanimously elected. Schweppe was manager of the Freshman crew last spring and is now assistant manager of the University crew.
An amendment was also added to the constitution, that not only men rowing in open regattas, bnt members of club class crews, trial eights, and Weld members of the Freshman crew and substitutes as well should be eligible to vote for the captain of the club, elected in the fall. This makes the number of voters more representative than formerly.
