The challenge of the Harvard Yacht Club for the Quincy Yacht Club challenge cup has been accepted. The races for this cup will be by far the most important for small boats in eastern waters this year.
At a meeting of the Harvard Yacht Club, which was held last night, letters were received from the New York, Knickerbocker, and Manchester Yacht Clubs, offering the use of their anchorages, floats, and stations during the coming season, to members of the Harvard Yacht Club. The following officers were elected: Commodore, F. B. Talbot '00; vice commodore, G. Nichols '00; rear-commodore, L. C. Ledyard, Jr. '00; secretary, A. H. Eustis '01.
