Boylston Prize Speaking

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The preliminary trial of speakers in the Boylston prize contest will be held at nine o'clock this morning in Sanders Theatre. The 42 contestants will speak in alphabetical order, and owing to this unusually large number, it is imperative that every man should be present at the appointed time, as no changes whatever will be made in the order of speaking. It is also desirable that all the contestants meet the judges in charge of the competition sometime before 9 o'clock in order to get a few final instructions in regard to the rules of the contest. The number of men to be retained for the final trial on May 10 will depend entirely upon the quality of the work, although it will probably not exceed fifteen or twenty. Those wishing to hear the results of the contest may do so by calling at Professor Baker's residence, 195 Brattle street, between 5 and 6 o'clock this afternoon.
