The University basketball team starts this afternoon on its trip to New York and Princeton.

The game with Columbia will be played tonight in the Columbia Gymnasium. Admission will be by invitation and a large number of tickets have been placed with the secretary of the New York Harvard Club. The team will remain in New York Friday and will meet Princeton Saturday night.

Harvard has been developed under almost the same conditions as Columbia and Princeton, this being the first year that these colleges have had university teams. Since the faulty playing with Technology Tuesday night Harvard has improved in team work and is very accurate at caging the ball. Especial attention has been given to signal practice and this is expected to strengthen the offensive play.

The following men will be taken on the trip: Clark, Jennings, Gilles, Underwood, Fenwick, Lehmann, Hanavan.
