Freshman Crew Captain.
At a recent meeting of the Freshman crew squad, E. B. Roberts was elected captain.
Roberts prepared at Noble and Greenough's where he rowed on the crew for two years. Last fall he stroked one of the Weld Freshman crews and this spring he stroked and captained the record breaking Weld Freshman crew. Although he only weighs 140 pounds he is a strong oar.
The Freshman crew will race the Worcester High School on Saturday May 26 on Lake Quinsigamond. While there they will be the guests of the Quinsigamond Boat Club.
The Freshman training table was started at Links' yesterday with eight men.
