Work was begun yesterday evening at the Cambridge Social Union. Classes under the direction of Harvard men are being conducted as usual in English, modern languages, history and government, mathematics, natural sciences, and music. W. S. Bedal 1L, is acting as head of the educational department, and the following men are teaching: English, J. M. Chambers 1G.; spelling and dictation, P. F. Hall '03; grammar, D. P. Lockwood '03; composition and rhetoric, L. Warner '03; literature, H. Dana '03; elocution, E. F. Mann '03; French, F. H. Osgood '04 and M. F. Perkins '04; German, A. F. Southworth '03 and C. Ehlermann, Jr., '05; Latin, F. H. Fobes '04; history and government, R. G. Wellington 2G. and R. Underhill '06; political economy, J. Abeles '03; mathematics, E. O. Hood '04, P. T. Coolidge '05, J. Fowler '05, R. G. Estep '03; natural sciences, W. C. Durfee '04 and R. H. Knowlton '03; penmanship, W. H. Davis '05; violin, F. E. Ames '03; mandolin, A. E. Chase '05. Other Harvard men will take classes later on.
