The photographic plates which were exposed at the Observatory during the eclipse of the moon on October 16 have been developed and are found to be of no value. This is because it is impossible to ascertain how long the moon was covered by clouds during the exposure. The plates might have been used for measuring the strength of the light during the eclipse, but this is now impossible.
