The annual meeting of the Co-operative Society was held in Lower Massachusetts yesterday afternoon. After the reading of the minutes of the meetings held within the past year a motion was carried to lay on the table the annual report of the Board of Directors and proceed at once to the election of officers. After considerable discussion the vote was taken and the meeting adjourned.

It was impossible to secure last night a check list of the members of the Society eligible to vote by which to decide the validity of the votes. The votes as cast were counted, but their validity will not be determined until this afternoon. The comparison of the list of men voting with the list of the members eligible to vote may change the result.

The count last night resulted as follows: for president, C. H. Ayres, 184; Professor L. J. Johnson, 140. For secretary-Professor J. H. Gardiner, 164; G. Ireland 1L., 154. For member of the Board of Directors representing the Faculty of Arts and Sciences-C. L. Bouton, 170; H. R. Meyer, 151.
