Basketball Plans.

Candidates for the Freshman basketball team will begin practice, together with the University squad, about the first week of November. During the first few weeks the men will be coached in accuracy in catching and passing the ball, as well as in the other rudimentary principles of the game. A reduction will be made in the number of the candidates shortly before the Christmas recess, when a temporary team will be picked to compete in the interclass games. Beginning in January, a regular schedule will be arranged. More games than heretofore will be played with outside teams, although the season will probably close earlier than in former years.
