John Joseph Hayes, instructor in elocution at Harvard from 1886 to 1899, died of paralysis in Milton at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, aged forty-six. Ill health compelled him to give up his work here three years ago, and he had not been well since.
The funeral will be held at St. John's Memorial Chapel, Brattle street, on Wednesday afternoon at half-past three.
