PROVIDENCE, R. I., February 4, 1902.--The University basketball team was defeated by Brown University last night at Providence by the score of 35 to 33. Harvard's team work was very poor, particularly on the offensive, when the men seemed unable to uncover. Brown played a strong, aggressive game and showed superior team work. Both teams fouled repeatedly.
