The Overseers Bill.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The bill for the extension of the franchise in the election of Overseers has passed its second reading in the State House of Representatives, and will come up for final reading today. The bill will undoubtedly be passed by the House in its present form, and will then go to the Senate for concurrence in the amendment which was engrossed by the House, providing that the bill shall not become operative for three years. In all probability the Senate will concur in the amendment, as all differences of opinion of the opposing interests have been settled.
