Six men were dropped from the University baseball squad yesterday afternoon, and reductions will continue to be made all this week. Yesterday the infield was given practice, and a game of six or seven innings lasting about an hour and a half was played. The batting is still weak; the men hit too hard and do not pick good balls. There is, however, some slight improvement in the fielding of the squad.
