University Rowing Yesterday.

The University crews were shaken up yesterday more than on any other day since they were formed. Both crews started in their regular orders, but, after a short row, they returned to the boat-house. Francis was then put at stroke in Bullard's crew, in place of Bancroft, and Ayer took Francis's regular place at seven in McGrew's crew. James was moved from bow to five, taking Ayer's place, and Hartwell was put at bow in place of James. Shortly afterwards, Foster was tried at stroke in McGrew's crew, and McGrew took Foster's place at four. In Bullard's crew, Shuebruk replaced Francis at stroke, the latter taking Shuebruk's place at six.

When the crews came in, the orders were as follows:

Stroke, Foster; 7, Ayer; 6, Swift; 5, James; 4, McGrew; 3, Gregg; 2, Smith; bow, Hartwell; cox., Ivy.

Stroke, Shuebruk; 7, Bullard; 6, Francis; 5, Colby; 4, Derby; 3, Dunbar; 2, Phillips; bow, Covel; cox., Otis.
