NEW HAVEN, CONN., Oct. 7.--Yale defeated Wesleyan today, 33 to 0, in a one-sided game, the first half of which was played in the rain.

The Yale line was impenetrable and played evenly on the offense, but the backs started slowly. Wesleyan did not once gain its distance. The first touchdown was scored after two minutes of play, in which the ball was carried 100 yards. Twitchell, of Yale, tried two field goals, but missed both. Simple tactics were used throughout the game.

The Yale line-up was as follows: l.e., Rafferty, Hare, Neal; l.t., Kinney; l.g., Morton; c., Roraback; r.g., Bloomer, Flanders; r.t., Hogan, Turner; r.e., Shevlin, Moorhead, Spalding; q.b., Rockwell, Twitchell; l.h.b., Mitchell, McCoy; r.h.b., Metcalf, Preston. Flynn; f.b., Bowman, Farmer, Hoyt.
