Class Football Practice Yesterday.

Yesterday afternoon all the upperclass football teams played practice games with their respective second teams. As a whole the practice was much better than on any previous afternoon this year. The fumbling which has been so discouraging, was much less frequent and there was some show of team work.

The Seniors had nearly three teams on the field. After long preliminary work and signal practice, there was a line up between the first and second teams. The first team was much the heavier and had no difficulty in breaking through the second's line. On center and tackle plays the backs started quickly, but on end plays the first team was several times thrown back for a loss.

The Juniors were lined-up against their scrub team for over three quarters of an hour, and by the end of the practice the plays were running very smoothly. End runs were executed with considerable speed, but on line plunges, there was considerable lack of force.

The Sophomore team shows slow development. In signal practice the plays ran off well enough, but in a scrimmage all team work was absent.

The first game of the interclass series will be played tomorrow between the Seniors and the Juniors.
