Sophomore Class Election.

The following men were yesterday elected officers of the Sophomore class for the ensuing year: President, J. D. Nichols; vice-president, R. J. Leonard; secretary-treasurer, F. A. Goodline. The voting was light only 307 votes being cast for president, 306 for vice-president and 305 for secretary-treasurer.

This is the first election under the new system, adopted last year by the class of 1906, by which officers are elected each year. J. M. Montgomery, Jr., who was president of the class last year, withdrew his name from the list submitted by the nomination committee before the election.

J. D. Nichols, the new president, prepared at Groton and besides captaining his Freshman football team last year, played first base on the Freshman nine. He is playing left halfback on the University eleven this fall.
