Entries for the University whist tournament will close tomorrow evening. A blue book has been placed at Leavitt's in which entries, at $1 a pair, can be made. They will be divided into sections of as nearly five each as possible, and each pair will play the others of its section. The two pairs having the highest scores in each section will enter the semi-final round. Each match will consist of sixteen hands at duplicate whist. Silver cups will be given to the winning pair.
In order that the tournament may be a success it is necessary that at least fifteen pairs enter. As only three members of last year's team of eight have returned, it is especially desirable that there be as large a number of entries as possible.
