AN UNEVENTFUL PRACTICE.

Only One Touchdown Scored by University Eleven in Practice Yesterday.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University eleven held a featureless practice yesterday, scoring one touchdown against the second in a fifteen minute scrimmage. No changes were made in the line-up of the University eleven.

After the preliminary practice there was an unusually long signal practice, in which Parkinson participated for the first time in several days. Hurley, also, went through the signals, but neither he nor Schoellkopf entered the scrimmage. Nichols was not out, on account of the injury he received in Saturday's game.

On the first kick-off the University eleven received the ball on the 20-yard line and rushed it 25 yards; then LeMoyne punted to the second's 25-yard line. Making four first downs, the second eleven carried the ball to its 45-yard line, but there lost the ball on downs. The University eleven then rushed the ball down the field for its only touchdown, Knowlton scoring.

The second team received the kick-off on the 10-yard line, and after being thrown back 5 yards, Leonard sent a short punt to the second's 40-yard line. LeMoyne tried to punt, but the kick was blocked and the University team recovered the ball in the centre of the field. LeMoyne's next punt went only to the second's 25-yard line, from which point the second rushed the ball 19 yards. The University eleven got the ball on downs on the second's 44-yard line and had carried it to the 37-yard line when time was called. The line up: FIRST ELEVEN.  SECOND ELEVEN. LeMoyne, l.e.  r.e., Shurtleff Meier, l.t.  r.t., Carr Carrick, l.g.  r.g., Pell Sugden, c.  c., Greene '02, Bleakie A. In a short line-up between the substitutes and second team, Hanley, for the substitutes, made one touchdown on a 33-yard run. Shea was out again and played at left tackle on the substitute eleven.
