Old Football Stands Being Demolished

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Early yesterday morning, men were set to work tearing down the grand stands on both sides of the old football field. The large beams will be used to make temporary seats on the south end of the Stadium where cement seats will be in place only about half way up. The seats of the old stands will be used to lay over the new cement seats. It has also been decided to increase the natural seating capacity of the Stadium for the Yale game by ten more entire rows. This will be done by erecting four rows of temporary seats around the broad promenade and six rows on the ground inside the Stadium wall below the level of the first seats.
