The class in Geology 22, advanced geological field-work, is this year finishing the mapping of the area included in the metropolitan district of Boston. During the past four years successive classes have added to this map; the area of the model of Boston, exhibited in the Geological Museum, defines the limits of the work.

It is planned to construct, as the result of this year's work, a large geological map on the same scale as the model. The class is working in Swampscott, Peabody, Lincoln, Wellesley, Dedham, Braintree, Quincy and Hull.
