The basketball game which was to have been played between the University team and Cornell, at Ithaca, on Monday night, has been postponed, owing to a misunderstanding with the Athletic Committee.
In the last practice before the Christmas recess, the University team was yesterday defeated by the second team by a score of 12 to 6. The work of both teams was hard, but rough, showing no signs of team-play. Three of the regular University players were not in the line-up, owing to injuries.
H. B. Young '04 has been appointed coach of the Freshman squad.
