NEW HAVEN, CONN., March 25.--Yale defeated Wesleyan this afternoon in baseball by the score of 9 to 2. Despite the cold weather, Yale's fielding was accurate and the batting fair. Bowman pitched four innings and showed good judgment and fair control. Wescott, who pitched three innings, had good speed, and was very steady; he allowed only two safe hits; Allen finished the game in the box for Yale. The best individual playing was that of Raymond, the Wesleyan shortstop, who made a double play unassisted and a difficult catch of a high line ball.

Batteries: Yale--Bowman, Allen and Wescott, and Winslow, Wesleyan--Chapman and Hanlon.
