The University tennis team will be picked after today's play, in order that the men may have sufficient time for practice in doubles. The comparative scores have varied greatly and the men will consequently be chosen according to the general showing made.
The following men only are still retained and they are to play today as follows: J. I. B. Larned '05 vs. M. H. Birckhead '03, at 4; R. Bishop 2L vs. C. W. Gilkey '03, at 4; R. N. Smither '06 vs. W. B. Bullen 2Dv., at 4; W. S. Warland '03 vs. S. L. Beals 2L., at 4; G. Clark '03 vs. B. S. Prentice '05, at 5; W. P. Blagden '04 vs. E. W. Leonard '03 at 4.
The matches played yesterday resulted as follows: B. S. Prentice '05 defeated c. L. Cole 2L., 6-4, 8-6; R. N. Smither '06 defeated E. H. George 3L., 6-2, 6-4; R. Bishop 2L defeated W. S. Warland '03, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4; J. I. B. Larned '05 defeated G. Clark '03, 7-5, 6-4; W. P. Blagden '04 defeated E. W. Leonard '03, 6-3, 6-2.
