Freshman Rowing Still Crude.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The first Freshman crew yesterday was coached by J. F. Perkins 3L. from the "John Harvard," while the second crew rowed to Long wood Bridge and back. During the first part of the afternoon the first rowed for short stretches in fours and eights, after which they rowed to Longwood Bridge and back. The bad hang at full reach, which was so noticeable the first of the week, was still perceptible, and the second boat is not yet steady on its keel. Some improvement however, has been shown in the use of the stretchers.

The orders were as follows:

First crew--Stroke, Switzer; 7, Hollingsworth; 6, Guild; 5, Burchard; 4, Pleasanton; 3, Kellogg; 2, White; bow, Flint; cox., Williams.

Second crew--Stroke, Shepherd; 7, Gill; 6, Sabiue; 5, Moller; 4, Judd; 3, Corlett; 2, Hyde; bow, Menro; cox., Borden.
