HANOVER, N. H., May 4, 1903.--The University baseball team defeated Dartmouth here this afternoon by the score of 9 to 1. Most of Harvard's nine runs were due to Dartmouth's erratic fielding, as the nine hits made were scattered, and the bunting weak. Clarkson, Carr, and Matthews did the best hitting. Coburn showed improvement in control, but exhibited lack of practice in fielding, making three of Harvard's six errors. The rest of the fielding was spiritless.
