NEW HAVEN, Conn., May 6, 1903.--Yale defeated the New Haven league team here today in an exciting game by the score of 2 to 1. The fielding, especially that of Thompson. Metcalf and Coates and the pitching were remarkably good.

Following are the results of other baseball games played yesterday: Princeton 4, Georgetown 3; Tufts 12, Holy Cross 4; Syracuse 11.
